And your exorbitant presumptuousness is beginning to be equally annoying. I simply came here to express my opinion, and you're the one trying to shoot me down. I don't care about your home theater hardware. I also don't care about your insecurities as an appliance owner or as a star wars fans - but you should considering having them looked over by a psychiatrist. Elitists like you need a serious reality check.

Man, Lucas must be using his ill-gotten DVD booty to hire more online Moles.

Seriously!! I really like the DVDs, and I've been a huge fan of all things SW for 20 strong years. I am entitled to my opinions. And I appreciate the classics as much as the next man. A lot of the changes are to preserve continuity with the prequels and blend their effects more seamlessly. That is a very logical move. If you are afraid that such a thing imbrues the original moves - too bad. Do what I did; buy the original trilogy on the remastered VHS set. If you're so nit picky about it being "old school" then isn't putting it on DVD sacrilegious in and of itself? *sigh*

I have watched all three of them over and over. I must say, the changes are not bad at all! My favorite is how they took out the original emperor hologram and replaced him with the man we all know and love. I don’t think these are abominations, not like a lot of purists do. Lucas is just doing now what he couldn’t back then. He’s not hurting them, he’s just patching some old cracks. It’s his work of art; let him do what he wants to them.
